Jacob was racing half marathons just three months before he was told he had at least stage three lung cancer. CT scan was the only way they found his cancer and by then it was too late. Mrs. Cooter wants to encourage all Vietnam veterans to have a CT scan and any other medical test for their health and to bring awareness of the need for the CT scans to find lung cancer in time.
